Bridal Show 2009

Thank you to everyone who visited my booth at the DeVos Bridal show this past weekend! I met a lot of 2009 and 2010 brides, some of whose dates I was unfortunately already booked for! That's the one thing about weddings... you can only do one in a day! Thank you anyway for all of your interest and compliments. I'll be sending out an email with a special soon to everyone who dropped their name in my box... I'll be at the Women's Expo in March at DeVos as well, so maybe I'll see some of you again! Happy wedding planning!

2009 Bridal Show - DeVos Place!!

2009 and 2010 Brides - I will be doing the West Michigan Wedding Association Bridal Show next Friday and Saturday at DeVos! Friday from 5:00 - 9:00 and Saturday from 10:00 - 4:00! I'll be giving some very cool bonuses out for anyone who books me for a 2009/2010 wedding, at the show only, so be sure to come talk with me! I still have some openings for 2009 and lots for 2010. Booking in advance gets you the lowest possible rate! See you there!!!!

Baby Parts!

Now that my kids are teenagers, (Sydney 16 almost and Jesse 12), I don't get to play with babies too often. Fortunately, my clients have babies that I get to photograph! I think this may be the best of both worlds! I get to play with them, tickle them, hold them, (when they let me), and take all kinds of cute pictures, then hand them back to their mama's!

Little Owen was the best baby to photograph, he just looked right at the camera the whole time and just smiled! When it came time to photograph baby parts however... I found out that babies don't hold those parts still very long!

Meet Boston!!

I had to post a few pictures of my sister's new baby, who just arrived yesterday! She wasn't sure what to name him, and somehow when I stopped over last night to meet the new addition, I mentioned the name Boston, and it stuck! He's just about the cutest puppy I've ever seen! He is actually a cross between a Pug and a Beagle, apparently a new breed called a "Puggle". We brought him to the studio today for "new puppy" pictures, and the little darling wouldn't hold still for more than about a second!






We tried a few shots with my niece and nephews, but all Boston wanted to do was nibble on some toes. You can't tell from the picture, but the kids were laughing and screaming during these, as Boston's little teeth are pretty sharp! Try getting 6 little feet and 1 puppy to hold still for a shot!



I kind of like these in black and white! Boston is nibbling on Ashton's toes in this one!





This is my sister trying to hold the little devil still! He wiggled his way right out........

I wish I had the patience for one of these! I don't think my 3 cats would think he's quite so cute...

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! HOPE EVERYONE HAD A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS DESPITE THE WINTER WEATHER WE'VE HAD! ALTHOUGH IT WAS REALLY NICE TO HAVE SOME TIME WITH FAMILY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON, I'VE ALSO BEEN STRUGGLING TO KEEP UP WITH ALL OF MY WEDDINGS THAT I'VE BEEN BEHIND ON, AS WELL AS KEEP UP WITH CHRISTMAS ORDERS! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN SO PATIENT WITH ME IN GETTING EVERYTHING DONE! I MUST ADMIT I'M GLAD THE HOLIDAYS ARE BEHIND ME NOW SO I CAN GET BACK ON TRACK!
I HAVEN'T DONE MUCH POSTING LATELY AS I SCRAMBLED TO GET THINGS DONE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, SO HERE ARE A FEW IMAGES FROM THE ORR FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT WITH LITTLE MAILE! SHE WASN'T TOO INTO HAVING HER PICTURES TAKEN THE FIRST TIME AROUND, SO SHE CAME BACK IN A WEEK LATER AND WAS MUCH HAPPIER! I GUESS A GOOD NAP WAS IN ORDER!
