Tanya & Jack ~Married~ 8.23.08

Tanya and Jack Parks, married last weekend August 23rd! Here's a nice sassy shot to start out with! August must have been my month for aqua, as this was the third wedding this month with that color! I'm not complaining, as this is of course my favorite color! Tanya not only had her girls in aqua, but her dress also was detailed in aqua, which was incredible! This was the first time I have seen this dress using the aqua as the detail color, I was loving it, and all her details.

I must say I was a bit "worried" about Tanya and Jack's wedding, as it was a beach wedding and scheduled for 1:30 in the afternoon, not a good time for a photographer to be out in the open sun on the beach with no shade! I was stressing so much about it, that I kept praying for an overcast day...well, I must have prayed a little too hard, because not only did we get overcast, we got rain..........most of the day. Woops! Well at least I didn't have to worry about the sun~! We had to get a little creative during the beach pictures as it kept raining off and on, but at least we made it through the ceremony and family pictures before it started, and at least we had a makeshift tent as a partial cover. I was actually able to get a few creative shots because of the tent, so it wasn't all bad!

Here are some shots from throughout the day, hope you remember your wedding day fondly, rain and all!

A classic shot I try to get at every reception!

Jack dancing with his mom....

Tanya had the whole beach theme going for her decor, wait until you see the cake!

Reception at Tullymore! That's the second opportunity I've had this month to go out there, it's a fabulous place with tons of picture opportunities, and the rain actually was almost "done" by the time we got there, so that was a good thing, and provided some nice soft lighting.

Jack and Tanya's first dance...

These pillars were very nice to work with, and I love how her dress fans out with the aqua accent....

Some of these images of course have special coloring effects on them, which I very much like, but they also look awesome in full color...

The flowers were also beautiful, and I loved the unique color of putting orange and white roses with aqua, I've never seen that color combination done before, and it worked very well...

The grounds are gorgeous here...

This was my favorite part of the reception, way cute!!!!!!!

Jack and Tanya decided to go with tan suits rather than black tuxes, I thought it was very complimentary, especially for a beach wedding.....

The guys look great!

I can't help but love this color effect with the aqua and orange accents... you may see it a few times...

Hey Jack!

Tanya, can you tell I really like these shots of you??

Out in the rain...

Here's where we had to use some creativity under the tent to catch a few shots while waiting for moments of no rain...

The tent actually made for a great silhouette, and somehow, although the lightbulb was "in my way" I kind of like it in this image!

Reception details.....

Old school effect...

Just married.....

A very cozy hug from dad...

Jack and his mom.....

Getting ready details.....

The ceremony, right out on the beach, no rain yet!

The rings were in a little pink purse, everyone laughed!

I love this candid shot of dad getting ready...

Getting boutineers on.....

A very stoic shot of Jack....

Tanya and Jack had a special gift to give to Tanya's dad and stepmom, who were also celebrating their ( I believe) 25th wedding anniversary. Below , is an image of them enjoying a slideshow presentation put together in their honor.

This groomsmen, was a wonderful help all day with my reflector, and at times we had to use it as an umbrella!

The pavement, still wet from the rain, adds a bit of depth and reflection to the image, to all of my brides who worry about rain, it can be a good thing in small amounts!!

The pillared entrance to Tullymore, made a good shot for my wide angled lens...

Tanya and her best friend Kim, there is something about this shot I like, posed but yet somehow candid...

I hated to see that adorable cake cut up!!

I wonder what the guy in the background right is talking about, good use of hand gestures...?

A nicely posed wedding party!
They had a heck uv a nice limo, it was ivory, very sharp........

Tanya's ring even had blue accents.....

While I was taking shots of Tanya and Jack, I looked over to see the wedding party waiting patiently and all lined up so nicely........
The ladies were very good sports about standing in virtual rain and then running back to the tent, and then back out to grab a few more in partial rain, then running back................

This is one of my own favorite angles, but it's the color here that pops! Blue's look good on everybody!

That's some good winkin' guys!

If you look closely at this image, (zoomed in), you can see large streaks of rain right in front of their faces! Fortunately this image was taken from afar!

Right after this shot, we gave up, getting too wet!
Fortunately we got these before the rain wouldn't let up...the sand was still mostly dry.......!

Guys just don't know how to pucker!!!!

As you can see, in between the rain, we still managed to have a little fun!

I played with texture on this image...

Tanya didn't necessarily want to do this shot, but I couldn't resist, I love these shots, everyone looks happy and candid!

Rather than running toward me, they were walking, I am on the ground looking up....

More of the same, with different sorts of coloring effects. When I give my clients their DVD containing ALL wedding images taken from the day, they get both the full color image, AND the special effect image as well, for all of those images that I did special effects on...such as this one.
I love this shot of Tanya, very candid, right after they were pronounced man and wife...

Family pictures, thank goodness it wasn't raining yet!!!

Brotherly love...... AWW.....

Love the aqua purse, I just want one...

There's that little pink purse again, I think the best man was holding it for safekeeping the rings...

Aqua splendor......

The KISS!! (They even did it twice!)
Signing the license.........

A nice intimate ceremony........

Final touches...

And one more favorite detail shot.....
Tanya and Jack, thank you again and Congratulations! I hope the rain didn't spoil your wedding day, actually in the end, I think it was to our advantage!! Loved your wedding!
