**Jenna & Dustin** 2*07*09

I cannot believe it's been over 2 months since my last wedding! That was a long stretch without one! This was the first time in 7 years that I did not have a wedding in December or January, and although I very much needed the long break, I was surprised (after doing 40 weddings this year) how much I missed them! I was very excited to shoot Dustin and Jenna's February 7th wedding after the long break. It was an absolutely perfect winter day, and unseasonable warm with lots of sunshine. I was thrilled to see that Jenna had a winter white cape, something I haven't seen in the last few winters and fully took advantage of the photo op!

The ceremony was held in Holland at an immense Wesleyan Church, and the reception was at one of my favorite venues in Saugatuck at the Banquet and Conference Center. This shot below was the totally awesome Ice Bar with their initials and snowflakes of course! Their signature drink was the Avalanche, which was ice blue to match the girls dresses! First time seeing this, it was too cool!

Starting out here with a few reception images, this is right after Dustin got his bride's garter!

The ceiling in this hall is so cool...

I found, very appropriately, some Holly bushes lined up along one of the streets in downtown Saugatuck, and decided to incorporate it along with the ring shot...

The lovely ladies in their ice blue dresses...

And the equally handsome groomsmen all behaving so well...

Check out Jenna's awesome fur boots, yup, she even wore them down the aisle!!

Work it Dustin!

I had to use this doorway, as it was so appropriately named for my shot...

This shot was meant to capture Jenna's boots...

There I go laying down in the street again, one of these days I"m going to get run over!

I can't help it, I love this angle...

Jenna's mom and dad...

More of the guys...

Getting the final touches on...

Love this....

She was having way too much fun with herself in the mirror, a photographer's dream......

Precious!

I got to shoot the guys getting ready too, which usually I don't get the pleasure, as my assistant normally does this, but he was busy elsewhere.... It was kind of "unusual" being in the guys getting ready room, but I got a lot of detail shots!

Love this one of Dustin tying up his shoes...

Back to the reception for cake...

Loving the fur hood...

Having way too much fun with this... Jenna, you look like a snow princess! Cheesy yes, but true!

Lighting the unity candle...

I love the look on dad's face here....

Catching the Avalanche as it comes down the slope!

Here's how it's done.....(I wish I had one of these at my wedding, no fair!)

A little Smirnoff...

And some blue stuff... what is this? A new drink for me to try!

Catching a ride....

Dustin and his "serious" look...

Cool window.......

Trying to sit in the window....

Made it!

(Can you tell I'm loving the window?)

Some smiling, some serious, what's up with that guys?

Awww... Kissin' in the limo..

Jenna was a seriously awesome model for me!

Happy baby!!

THE Boots!

Dustin's Details....

This is Jenny, who is now the sister - n - law to the bride. I shot Jenny's wedding around 5 or 6 years ago, my last wedding using FILM, Yikes! I cannot believe it's been that long already...a lot has changed in that time! Jenny and her husband Kirk, now have 2 of the most beautiful little girls!

The grand entrance.....

Working the boots.....

Jenna's eyes sometimes looked blue like in this shot, but in the others appear green... (very fun for me to play with in photoshop!)

Dustin, you're not taking that ring off yet are ya?

Just before the kiss....

Mom's lighting the candles...

One last detail......

Thank you so much for including us in your day, it was a perfect winter wedding! Hope you're having fun on your honeymoon, and hope you enjoy your preview when you come home!

Congratulations and much happiness in your new life together!
