Patrick & Jade *Destination Wedding* Cabo, Mexico!!
Okay, I've posted lots more from Patrick and Jade's wedding, some of my favorites from the wedding day, some from our sunset cruise the night before the wedding, some images that showcase Cabo itself, and even some of myself and Scott! Have fun looking through these, I know I had fun playing with these images!!
Bride and Groom: On the Rocks
You have to look closely at the image, look to the very top top of the image, and you will see something that looks like a large moth hovering above Jade's bouquet. That's what we thought at first, and then to our astonishment, realized that the huge "insect" hovering around the bouquet was actually a hummingbird!! It was amazing to be able to see this amazing creature so close as it kept hovering all around us, it was very determined to get at Jade's bouquet, and landed on it multiple times. The first shot here, is my attempt to capture it with the camera, and the second shot below is it actually sucking nectar from the middle of the bouquet. My only regret is that I wasn't able to capture a head shot at all, and only got it's rear end!!!
Here it is in the middle of the bouquet, butt out! It really like that lilly!
One of our last shots after the trash the dress session as it was promptly getting dark, we used up every last second!
I love the splashing water behind Patrick on this one.......
These rocks were just incredible.....
Patrick has the most amazing color eyes, mint green, as you will probably be able to see in several of these images if you double click on the image to pop it up larger, and looking at some other images, you'll see that Jade's are bright blue; us brown-eyed people get a little jealous sometimes!!!
Patrick was actually supposed to be "serious" in this shot, but he just kept smiling!!
I could have shot here all day nonstop....................
Jade's hotel room was also amazing, and I was able to do lots of creative getting ready pictures...
Just after the ceremony, champagne toast!
This is the balcony off of Jade's room, also amazing for pictures!
The newly married Mr. and Mrs. Coulston! The ceremony took place right on the beach!
I could have shot all day just in the hotel room!
They did a sand pouring..... very appropriate for a beach wedding.!!
I LOVE SILHOUETTES
Hey, there's Scott and I! Taken by Jade's Aunt and Uncle thank you!
Jade is getting her Lilly put into her hair....
Patrick poses in front of the ocean, and the Carnival Cruise ship that was there each day that I was there...
There were so many cactus around the hotel area and all over Cabo, I got scratched a few times trying to get the images I wanted!
There's those eyes.....
I love the color of the water, it looked just like a commercial...
Since Jade wanted to trash her wedding dress, she wore this gorgeous little thing to the reception with hot pink heels.......
Another angle of the resort.....
Here's a shot I normally wouldn't think to do, the dress through the window......
And in front of the window.....
On our sunset cruise, there were all kinds of beautiful ships going by, including this way cool pirate ship!
Where's Captain Jack Sparrow?
Guess who? I was all about the zebra print for my trip to Cabo..... Oh, and I got my hair braided by one of the local women, right on the beach. She kept trying to sell me necklaces and ankle bracelets, but instead I conceded to let her do my hair. It held up all weekend!
Another silhouette, this time from the sunset cruise as the sun was very quickly setting.....
This is Gary. Gary is Jade's dad. Gary was quite the character, we loved him!! What a great smile and gotta love that hat!
Couldn't resist these rock formations........
A few last shots before the sun is gone.......
Here's that cruise ship as we were passing it on our little dinky boat....
Here is all of Patrick and Jade's friends and family who attended the ceremony. They did a really nice champagne toast...
Trying to capture those eyes.......
The Ceremony...
Here is me looking ridiculous trying to get the angle that I want, thanks for the flattering shot Scott!
What a view from the hotel room!
Gary's girls, Jade's sister Kayla is on the left.
Patricks buddies get silly for me...
This is Patrick's brother, I think his eyes are even lighter than Patricks, and you should see their sisters eyes!
Can you see their rings dangling from the shoe? I want these shoes........
Jade's earrings....
Jade's wedding shoes......perfect for a beach wedding...
I love the ruffles of Jade's dress......
Sunset cruise.....
Silhouette of Cabo's peninsula rocks....This is where we went for the trash the dress session looking at it from afar.....
Lots of beautiful sailboats.....
Here is the whole group again on the cruise......The boat was quite rocky and it was quite difficult to take pictures actually, I think that's the first time I had to shoot professionally on a boat, a bit more challenging than I realized, wearing heels was not a good idea, and I ended up having to go barefoot the rest of the night!
Cabo's setting sun......
One last hello from Gary....
And one last image from Cabo, for now, these pelican's were everywhere, and they refused to move for the boats, until the boat was literally on top of them!
I can't thank Patrick and Jade enough for giving me this opportunity to photograph their wedding in such a beautiful place and setting. My husband and I had a fabulous time, and the experience for me as a photographer was even more rewarding than I could have imagined. Working with Patrick and Jade and their families was wonderful and we were treated as if we were their guests. Thank you so much for this experience as well as a much needed vacation, and for opening up this window of opportunity for me to be able to photograph destination weddings.
